As we all know Christmas commemorates the birth of Jesus, by our limited knowledge. Christians believed Jesus had been conceived, the date of the Roman winter solstice. Winter Solstice marks the longest night of the year, when earth is farthest from the sun. Since the days are getting longer and the nights shorter, this day marks the victory of Sun over the darkness.
So now we have a little bit of an idea of what it actually is.

How Am I Celebrating?

The people in the east especially in the Indian Subcontinent, the ones like me don’t know much about Christmas as we have our end semester Mathematics exams on 27th. So we really can’t get our Christmas trees in place and dress up our dad as Santa. Sad indeed! We have lost our festivities to these exams time and again. It happened at Diwali as well I had my exams just a couple of days later. Argh! I am going deep into my miseries. :D I want to kill those date sheet designers…. So I am celebrating my Christmas wishing you all merry Christmas through this page, and yeah studying a little …haha..!!
Anyway, back to topic.

Christmas : The Spirit and Beyond

 I feel really great about several nations that have some 12 odd holidays to celebrate Christmas, owing to the beginning of the larger season of Christmastide, which lasts twelve days. Happy holidays to them ! I love festivals, the history behind them and more of…the spirit each festival holds. Every festival has its own aura and spirit. So I am really pleased to talk about Christmas.


You must have read those Ebenezer Scrooge in your textbooks at some part of life, that day they might not have mattered more than grades. But look back again you’ll find something hitting. How important is it for us to live for others. We have not come to this planet just for filling our tummy. Happiness can’t be bought , the true happiness is the smile you put on someone’s face, the real fulfillment is when you feed a hungry kid, when you sacrifice your bit and cheer someone up, without any interest.. Well that really does wonders, Yeah that sounds so tempting and sort of positive vibe that one wishes to have around.

That’s what Christmas is all about. It is about searching your happiness in others’. So if you really wish to celebrate Christmas, Celebrate the spirit of Christmas.

Christmas is not necessarily about the fancy pine trees (it is about the gifts though ..lol..), it is about creating a fresh vibe of happiness for one and everyone..
