My Most Awkward Moments
Once in chemistry lab I put a beaker on Bunsen burner, and
as I looked for water, it cracked due to heat. Once I was throwing a paper ball
into the dustbin, it swung and hit my Physics lecturer. Once my class teacher
asked me to rehearse a laugh for a play, I began laughing and didn't ever stop.
We all have had awkward, bad and ego crunching moments. The
moments you recall and say I could have done that differently. But the clock is
brisk, erase and amend features are not available. Before you think about the
second gone by, another comes glaring in the eye. There's no way to escape or
relax, you just have to get on with it. Life is long enough to regret and
repent, 60-70 years is no way short. But that's not how you would like to put
that away. You would like it to be filled with chapters you wish to read and
re-read every now and then. For that, move on, just like a race driver does
after a bad second, a bowler after a bad minute, a stock broker after a bad
hour, a BPO executive after a bad day, an economist after a bad year.
A failure is joke if you wish to laugh, an oozing wound if
you wish to hide. Don't try to suppress your bad moments. Rather, share those
with the people you trust. On a weekend with your friends, you would love to
tell how you tried to show your answer sheet to a pretty girl and got caught,
than the exam you topped. Human memory is limited and hence selective when it marks
as “to be cherished”.
First Job's First Friends' Party
22 February 2013 was a turning point in my life. I got placed in a firm I really wished to be a part of, Mu Sigma. Seeing all the hard work paying off is one thing, staring at the future is another. First job is always very special. My friend +Akanksha Dureja says that the friends you make on your first job are the most special ones. I made those friends even before I officially joined. Respected Saket Kumar Jha aka Sardaar created this group called "Mu Sigma Freshers 2013". Gradually people from all parts of the country began to join in and we all just started to click. We all come from different backgrounds but we all are same in one aspect that we all are raring to go for our first job. The innocence, the stupidity, long chats are a part of our daily routine now. After significant activity, I was made an admin just like 9 other top blabbers.
We used the group chat to talk for hours picking up at each other. "Gaurav is assigned the job to handle all the female requests to the group rest Abhishek and Saket would take care of". Then Aayush would come complaining "yaar koi ladko ko bhi puchh lia karo". And then I would say "I leave male ones just for Akanksha", then Akanksha would fend off and there would be no end to picking, tricking and laughing. We all have knit a very happy bunch to an extent that we all have decided to organize an "Admin Party".
Tinda vs Master Chef Vikas Khanna
Tasty or Healthy? If you ever put this question across in a punjabi gathering either you would be stared to death or laughed to suicide. Being a punjabi foodie myself I know how our food is cooked. I remember during my school time a friend used to love my lunch. But as he used to see the dripping oil he used to say " at least one member of your family must be like Yokozuna". His lunch was a sort of after meal or salad for someone like me - fruits, sprouts, and a chapatti as thin as him. He was the cause of envy for many girls for his perfect size zero.

What is art? It is something creative, or something which isn't quite obvious, something that we aren't used to. I guess it is something that makes you go "wow", as simple as that. It is something that you remember for a good long time. Where do we find such everlasting art? Art galleries? Oh come on! In a samosa design, in alienware machines, mozilla logo, art is everywhere. These might be tiny things that we somehow tend to ignore or take as trivial, but it doesn't diminish the artistic thought behind them. Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder, they say.
