Party, competitions, prizes, money –It is going to be a blend of all. People round the globe have been invited. 210 guests from 14 nations are going to attend the occasion. $ 4.5 Million are on stake up for taking. It is going to be some real fun as the extravaganza is going to be celebrated for a couple of months, with venues across three nations.

Yes, I am talking about the ICC World Cup 2011, which takes off on 19th February 2011, which is coincidently my birth date. the first match is going to be played with co-hosts India and Bangladesh facing off ,as per my knowledge , it is the first time in last decade or so that first match belongs to India as a participant.
The winners are going to grab hold of US$ 3 Million; the runner-up would enjoy US$ 1.5 million. ICC has decided to double the total allocation for this WC to US$ 10 million
Telecast
ESPN Star Sports and Star Cricket won the battle for telecast at a cost of around US$ 2 Billion. Well that hardly matters to fans. What matters is that the World Cup 2011 is going to be telecasted in FULL HIGH DEFINITION, and aired across 220 nations.
