Words, he never said | Poem

A leaf not withered but wan,
Lifeless and dead..
Hinges at a twig,
Waiting for its end..

Like love,
Which sees no hope..
Like old age,
Difficult to cope..

A little sway,
A little struggle,
A million mile journey,
Alone goes the traveller..

Flies, flies and flies,
Celebrates his demise..
He has nothing to lose anymore,
But did he?

But did he?
He questions himself, now..
What did he miss?
And how?

Time, he always had,
Love, he never had..
Wounds, that always bled,
Words, he never said..

Fear shall live,
The man is dead..
Will you live,
The life he had?
